Self-care is essential as we learn to navigate through the uncertainty and change of our current world. For those of you working at home with kids or supporting others who may be struggling with the pandemic emotionally remember the protocol on all flights: “In the case of an emergency, place and adjust your own oxygen mask first before assisting others.”

For the best tools and practices designed to help you cope, grow, and find some brilliance, check out The House from Building Your Brilliance: Move from Stressful Survival to Joyful Living

The House is easy to use!

  1. Scan the rooms found in The House for self-care practices. For example, the kitchen reminds you to eat and drink healthy foods and beverages.
  2. Decide which room(s) would be best for you to hang out in and reap the self-care benefits for today.
  3. If you have kids at home, have them decide which room they want to play in for some TLC.
  4. Remember that I am not talking literally but figuratively. Or it may be a mix of both!
  5. Have fun with some brilliant self-care!

Please share in the comments which self-care practices you are finding helpful in giving yourself a little or a lot of TLC.

In doing so we can motivate and encourage each other, whether we are all in the same house with family yet separated physically from colleagues or finding ourselves alone. (For more resources on The House and Building Your Brilliance go to: http://www.janeschuette.com/resources/)

Let’s unite, inspire, and motivate each other to find our brilliance using The House and some TLC!
